High Performance Liquid Chromatography of Coumarin Derivatives in Fraxini Cortex

Abstract
|
|
|
The coumarin derivatives in Fraxini Cortex(collected and commercial), which have been used for the therapies of inflammation, gout, neuralgia, and antipyretic, etc., were determined by HPLC under reversed-phase C_18 column with MeOH-H_2O-AcOH (31:69:0.4) as mobile phase.
Esculin, fraxin, coumarin glycosides, were contained with higher rate of 4.17% and 0.18% in the collected Fraxini Cortex than those of 1.80%, 0.06% and 0.86%, 0.01% in the commercial(Ⅰ,Ⅲ) respectively. On the other hand, in case of esculetin, fraxetin, coumarin aglycones, were distributed highly with 0.61%, 0.10% and 0.79%, 0.07% in the commercial(Ⅰ,Ⅲ) when compared with 0.33% and none in the collected respectively.
